Transition Acceleration

Updated: Sep 18, 2021

If you are looking for how to create more club head speed it can be found in your transition.

The first common denominator great players do is create width at the top of the swing, they have less than 90 degree's right arm bend.

From here they create more width with their arms by straightening the right arm early in the transition.

This gets the handle to accelerate early and gets the club in front of the body.

The last piece of the transition is both the upper and the lower body move forward at the same time.

The most common mistake players make is

pre-extending and moving the upper body away from the target as the hips move forward.
