Golf Swing Tip -Set Up
Updated: Oct 18, 2021
When setting up to the ball, there is a lot of instruction on the market teaching setting the upper body or spine a long way behind the ball at address.
So is the myth of setting up with upwards of 10 degree's of spine angle hurting your game?
There are a few things wrong with this type of frame:
It gets the body too far behind the ball too early leading to balance problems
It stops the body from fully extending in the back-swing which costs the downswing power.
It creates to much right bend early in the downswing leading to path and low point issues.
Instead, prepare for your swing with as little as 4 degree's of initial spine angle.
